Starbucks ® Romford Brewery
Welcome to the vibrant hub of coffee culture at Starbucks ® Romford Brewery, located conveniently at Unit 8b, 1-15 The Brewery, Romford RM1 1. This branch is part of the globally renowned Starbucks brand, celebrated for its rich brews and inviting atmosphere. However, recent reviews have shed light on a mixed experience that reveals both the charms and challenges that come with establishing a coffee haven in an urban setting.
Upon entering, patrons are greeted with the familiar aroma of freshly brewed coffee, a hallmark of the Starbucks experience. Though the venue has undergone a transformation, moving towards a more modern aesthetic, some customers have expressed nostalgia for the cozier vibes it once offered. Notable changes include the replacement of comfortable seating with less inviting bench seats, which may detract from the casual meeting-up atmosphere many cherish in their local cafe.
- Ambiance: The seating arrangements have drawn criticism, with some feeling that the blocked views and cold decor diminish the café's warmth. The ambiance, once inviting, now feels somewhat impersonal.
- Service Quality: Customer service has been a point of contention. Reviews highlight instances of less-than-stellar interactions, where patrons felt unheard or dismissed. For instance, one customer mentioned a negative experience involving a barista's demeanor, which left them feeling unappreciated despite their excitement for a caffeine fix.
- Location: On the positive side, the location remains a buzz-worthy spot for a quick coffee run or treat, surrounded by the liveliness of The Brewery. It's a great stop for those wishing to explore the area.
Despite the critiques, the baristas maintain a deep-rooted dedication to the craft of coffee-making, which reflects the brand's commitment to quality. For many loyal patrons, the intricacies of a well-prepared iced latte or handcrafted espresso continue to make visits worthwhile.
In summary, Starbucks ® Romford Brewery offers a mix of experiences—an aromatic escape and a social hub—though it is clear that there are areas for improvement, particularly concerning the customer service and the overall atmosphere. As a food reviewer, I appreciate the potential this branch holds, and I look forward to seeing it flourish while balancing the essence of what makes Starbucks a beloved brand across the globe.

Stars. Ordered an iced latte and half an hour before closing time was told by the staff I cannot sit inside because they were cleaning up. So technically the cafe is open for half an hour more, but it cannot accomodate paying clients to be seated, whereas lots of people were seated around the cafe, so they couldn't 'clean up' anyway, and new customers were told to sit outside.

The curly long hair black lady barista there in Starbucks Romford (the outside Sbucks not inside mall Sbucks) she should NOT work in customer service. She looks so grumpy and not interested and looks so lazy irritated when getting people's orders. She even asked me What? after I clearly said what I prefer for my coffee. Tsktsk she needs proper customer training. She looks like she hate every single minute there which is annoying as it could affect the way she makes the coffee from putting dairy or non dairy. I should have cancelled my order my hunch was correct as my coffee didnt taste the way it taste when I order from other branches.

Venue has had a makeover, less intimate and going the American way which is more cold and less warming. Comfy chairs have gone to be replaced with dirty bench seats which just accumulate other peoples crumbs and left overfood.Less of a view now that Windows have been blocked off, so you get to see a depressing road instead.Staff are still there hence my star. Just not the same place to meet up as is less seating than before replaced with bar stools which nobody wants to sit at i noticed. The designer obviously doesn't get the demographic of Romford, old people and a lot of parents! Guess Starbucks really don't want people to sit comfortably in their stores and using pandemic as an excuse to move everything to cheap IKEA chairs.Guess we will stick to Costa going forward as that still allows groups to sit together in a comfortable setting or Poppins down the road, which both have cheaper coffee anyhow.

Got order wrong , when pointed out shouted at me from the full and told me “I asked you if you wanted this and YOU said yes ! But it’s fine we can change it “.... Then proceeded to say an annoyed words to the next person and had a good laugh with her about what was her fault ! Not very good customer service. Don’t shout at customers and if you’ve made a mistake say so don’t blame customers please. Anyone can make a mistake. Goes out to the fake blonde taking the order and laughing annoyingly and not to the lady making the order who was rather helpful.
